All The Threads: A Reintroduction
Welcome to a place where we talk about random spiritual practices
Hey, friends!
Welcome to all of the new subscribers who came over from D.L. Mayfield’s God Is My Special Interest. I’m so glad you’re here!
Since there are some new faces, for this week’s post, I wanted to reintroduce what All The Threads is all about.
I’m Kandi Zeller (she/her), and I’m a disabled writer and editor at the intersections of spirituality, creativity, and justice. I’m also discerning a call to become a spiritual director, with an emphasis on trauma-informed and interfaith spiritual care. In this newsletter, I try to share a weekly spiritual practice somewhere at the intersection of creativity and justice (often with some extra poetry and prayers).
I personally believe spiritual practices can grow from all aspects of life—even the most mundane and random, which is why I call this newsletter All The Threads. Basically, the metaphor is that we’re taking disparate threads of life and making a beautiful skein of variegated yarn, representing a whole, diverse, and varied spiritual life for those of any or no faith. (For more details on that metaphor, check out my first post.)
You belong here, and I’m so honored to be invited to share my musings with you through this lovely little platform called Substack. Cheers to community, wholeness, and the journey to connect to divine love (whether you view that love as from God, from people, or from some combination of the two).
P. S. What threads of life are bringing you a sense of wonder today?
In Wonder,
Kandi Zeller (she/her)

Hi Kandi 🙋🏻♀️ I came here via D. L. and I'm looking forward to having a quiet moment to snoop through the archive. I've just been at a local community meal where I chatted to folk from all over the world, yet with lovely threads of connection - that always gives me a sense of wonder, how diverse and connected we are. I'm a spiritual director in Glasgow, Scotland and I'm also interested in hosting Soul spaces that are not 'religious'. Sending love ❤️
Hi, Kandi! Soooooo much is going on in my mind and heart, but today I had a scheduled meeting and then a "chance" meeting that filled my heart with so much hope and happiness. Everything is connecting in some wild ways.
