I love this! I too have been forging my own aesthetic now for a bit as I lean into who I really am and who I’m becoming. I’m probably a little more faerie grunge than whimsigothic (I watched the video), but I am 100% with you in both/and spirit! For me, colors are how I present my mood/energy of the day. I intentionally bought a bunch of colors in a bunch of mix and matchable pieces so I can just intuitively pick my daily palette. And my jewelry collection is structured the same way. I love challenging the prevailing fashion expectations associated with stereotypical male presentation. At least as much as I can.
Whimsigothic is my new favorite word. And I LOVE Persephone. One of my both/ands: I love bright vibrant rainbow-y colors. And I love gray.
Friend, that both/and is so truly you! Love it!
Love that word! Your joy and whimsy are palpable.
Also, that Persephone dress is awesome!
Thank you, Lindsey. I love the way whimsy is infused in your life too! And OMG, yes, that dress is amazing.
“I am both/and. Dramatically so.” — I love that line!
Thank you!

I love this! Clothing and color magick are so cool.
The thing I posted today is probably currently my best answer to your ending question: https://jennwith2ns.substack.com/p/how-to-be-an-unconventional-rule
Oooh, this is such a fun framework of both/and!
😁
