Making doctor appointments as a spiritual practice is a huge reframe for me. I hate making phone calls anyway but for some reason when it's to doctors it makes me so much more anxious and stressed. Maybe if I start thinking about it as self-care, and that my body, my whole self is worth taking care of, it'll make those calls easier. 💙
I love this so much. I neglected taking care of my body for a loooong time but have been so much more intentional about it the past couple years. There are just so many parts lol. And being 48 means having to work harder to stay strong and healthy. But I'm doing it. And trying to enjoy it. I've also been making a lot of art lately. Poem art, collage art, protest art. It fills me up.
